Governor Kathy Hochul has nominated Chris Alexander for Executive Director of the Office of Cannabis Management. Mr. Alexander served as Associate Counsel for the New York State Senate as well as Policy Coordinator for the Drug Policy Alliance. Governor Hochul nominated Tremaine Wright for the Chair of the Cannabis Control Board. Mr. Right is a former State Assembly Member and a Community Advocate. With these nominations, New York State has taken an important first step toward setting up the government offices that will regulate the legal cannabis industry.
